Community Building
Capacity Building
OC Human Relations take a civic organizing approach to building capacity by providing leadership development, technical assistance, and promoting collaboration. We take a tailored, collaborative and multifaceted approach to developing communities always engaging and connecting all aspects of the community from the grassroots to the grasstops. We have been involved in capacity building initiatives throughout the county including Laguna Beach, West Fullerton area and the Valencia Task Force, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and many others. To inquire about our services and trainings please contact Edgar Medina at 714.834.7126.

Leadership Training
OC Human Relations conducts leadership development training for diverse audiences in order to create grassroots leaders and empower residents to gain access and participate in the decision making processes of institutions that affect their lives. We are able to custom design and deliver training to your neighborhood association, youth, parent or community group. We are always looking for opportunities to partner with agencies and cities in being a catalyst for developing the capacity of Orange County residents to determine and implement positive change.

OC Human Relations was selected as a national partner with the PEW Partnership for Civic Change Initiative, in an initiative entitled Leadership Plenty. In addition, we are able to deliver this exciting program which offers residents the opportunity to develop skills to be equipped to be leaders in their communities. The training consists of the following modules: Finding Leaders Within, Identifying Community Assets, Managing Groups for Results, Making Meetings Work Better, Managing Conflict, Building Strategic Partnerships, Moving From Talk to Action and Facing the Challenge of Racism and Race Relations in our communities. We have delivered these trainings in collaboration with the cities of Santa Ana and Fullerton.
